ABHA Labआभा
Anonymity for Bharat
We study how personal data leaks from the systems India runs on — transport and mobility records, phones and wireless devices, health data, payments — and we build protections that hold up when someone actually tries to break them.

What we work on
Four themes, one method: attack real systems and data releases, then build defences against what worked.
Mobility and location data
Re-identifying people in released trajectory and origin–destination data, and building anonymisation that scales to millions of users.
Read more →Wireless tracking
How Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LoRaWAN devices give away identity and location, and how people can detect trackers aimed at them.
Read more →Anonymisation that holds up
Testing whether privacy claims survive real attacks, and turning the results into guidance for data publishers and regulators.
Read more →Network and IoT security
Measuring what devices and attackers actually do on the network, from DNS in smart homes to scanning on the open web.

Help build a new lab from the ground up
We're recruiting PhD, MTech and BTech students who like taking systems apart. Early members shape what the group becomes.
